Applier vs JobGPT

By the Applier team · Updated October 25, 2026 · Applier is our product

JobGPT is an AI job search automation platform from 6figr.com. Its website says it finds relevant jobs, applies to them for you with a tailored resume and cover letter, and emails recruiters and referral contacts from your own Gmail.

The short answer

  • Choose Applier if you want applications sent on the employer's own form or applicant tracking system, with an application mailbox for employer email, follow-ups 3 and 7 business days after each introduction, and an approval setting for each introduction email.
  • Choose JobGPT if you want a tool that applies to a set number of jobs each day, with the option to hand-pick the ones you want, and an MCP connection to AI clients such as Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT.

Why pick Applier over JobGPT

  • Applier sends follow-ups 3 and 7 business days after each introduction, so you don't have to track the dates. JobGPT's website says it follows up with people at the company, but doesn't say how many follow-ups it sends or when.
  • You can approve each introduction email before it goes out by setting introductions to Review, or let Hybrid and Auto send them. JobGPT's website doesn't describe reviewing recruiter emails before they're sent.
  • Employer email and verification codes go to an application mailbox Applier gives you. JobGPT's website doesn't say how it handles employer verification emails.

It applies on the employer's own site, whatever it uses

  • Applier applies on the employer's own application form, whatever system the company uses: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever or its own careers page. It isn't tied to a list of supported systems.
  • It never signs in to your LinkedIn, Indeed or other job-board accounts. Applications go to the employer directly, not through the board.
  • There's no browser extension to install. Applier runs on its own servers and never needs access to your browser, so it keeps applying while your computer is off.

When JobGPT may suit you better

  • JobGPT's website says you can try it on up to 5 jobs for free.
  • JobGPT's website says it can be used from AI clients such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf and ChatGPT through an MCP connection, with no local install.
  • JobGPT's website says it includes a Jobhunt tracking board that shows queued and applied jobs, plus interview and offer stages.
  • JobGPT's blog says unused credits never expire.

How JobGPT works

According to its website, you create a profile and upload your resume. The JobGPT agent then searches job listings across various platforms, fills out application forms on your behalf, attaches your resume and writes a cover letter tailored to each job and company. Its FAQ says it applies to 10-20 jobs a day, and that you can hand-pick jobs instead of letting it choose. You can also contact recruiters, and its site describes sending a personalized email specific to each job opening. Its blog says it applies on company career pages and ATS forms, and that outreach goes out from your own Gmail. Applications are tracked in a Jobhunt dashboard that works like a kanban board, and its FAQ says you'll get a confirmation email from the company's site after a successful application.

How Applier works

Applier is an AI job application service. It finds open roles that match your profile, tailors your resume and cover letter to each one, submits the application on the employer's site, then emails the hiring manager from your Gmail. See how Applier works, including what still needs you.

New members can try Applier free for 7 days, and the first paid month is backed by an interview guarantee.

Each introduction carries the resume tailored to that job, follow-ups go in the same thread and stop when the person replies, and in Review mode you approve each email before it goes out. It also gives you an interview pack for each submitted application, an Inbox that labels employer email, Answers to check, and a daily email when something needs you. See every Applier feature.

What still needs you

  • Applier fills in answers you haven't given and lists them under Answers to check, so you can confirm or correct each one.
  • In Review mode, you approve each job before Applier applies. In Hybrid and Auto, Applier applies on its own.
  • Some applications can't be finished; these show as Failed in your dashboard.
