Applier vs Apply Ops
Apply Ops is a cold-email tool for job seekers. It finds roles that match your resume across job boards, identifies the recruiter, hiring manager or founder behind each one, and sends a personalized email plus one follow-up from your own Gmail.
The short answer
- Choose Applier if you want the application submitted on the employer's own site and the hiring team emailed from your Gmail afterward.
- Choose Apply Ops if you plan to apply on the original posting yourself and want the effort concentrated in one personalized email plus a follow-up to the person hiring.
Why pick Applier over Apply Ops
- Applier submits the application on the employer's own application form or applicant tracking system, so it doesn't wait on you. Apply Ops' website says it "leaves the submit with you" and that you apply on the original posting yourself.
- Applier tailors your resume and writes a cover letter for each role. Apply Ops' website doesn't say it rewrites your resume for a job or writes cover letters; it parses the resume you upload into a profile that drives its search.
- Employer verification emails go to an application mailbox Applier gives you, so an application doesn't stall while you're away. Apply Ops' website doesn't mention verification emails.
- Applier emails 1, 2 or 3 people on the hiring team per application depending on plan, then follows up 3 and 7 business days later. Apply Ops' website says one follow-up per contact.
It applies on the employer's own site, whatever it uses
- Applier applies on the employer's own application form, whatever system the company uses: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever or its own careers page. It isn't tied to a list of supported systems.
- It never signs in to your LinkedIn, Indeed or other job-board accounts. Applications go to the employer directly, not through the board.
- There's no browser extension to install. Applier runs on its own servers and never needs access to your browser, so it keeps applying while your computer is off.
When Apply Ops may suit you better
- You can start free, with 15 application credits.
- A single search covers up to four boards and returns up to 25 ranked roles with the full posting inline and a direct link to the original.
- You can keep several resumes, each carrying its own extracted skills and its own six outreach templates, so two career tracks don't dilute each other.
- Drafts sit in a Gmail sidebar with timezone-aware scheduling and a live credit and daily-send counter while you work.

How Apply Ops works
According to its website, you upload your resume as a PDF once and Apply Ops parses it into a structured profile of titles, skills, seniority and locations. You pick up to four job boards per search and get back up to 25 matched roles, each with the full description and a link to the original posting. For each role it identifies the recruiter, hiring manager or founder behind it and verifies that person's email address, then fills one of six outreach templates written from your resume with the contact's name, company and role. You review and edit every draft in the dashboard or the Gmail sidebar, then send from your own Gmail on a schedule spaced through the recipient's working day, up to 50 emails a day. One follow-up per contact is scheduled automatically once the first email has been delivered. The application itself is left to you, on the original posting.
