Applier: questions and answers

Short answers about how Applier works and what it can't do. For the full detail, see how Applier works and what Applier does with your Gmail.

About Applier

What is Applier?

Applier is an AI job application service. It finds open roles that match your profile, tailors your resume and cover letter to each one, submits the application on the employer's site, then emails the hiring manager from your Gmail.

Who runs Applier?

Applier is owned and operated by an Australian business. You can reach the team at [email protected].

Is Applier legit?

Applier is a paid service with published terms, privacy and refund policies. New members can try it free for 7 days, and the first paid month is covered by an interview guarantee.

How it works

Where does Applier submit applications?

On the employer's own application form or applicant tracking system, never through a job board's quick-apply button, so Applier never needs your job-board accounts.

Does Applier tailor my resume and cover letter?

Yes. For each role, Applier tailors your resume to the job ad's wording and writes a new cover letter.

Does Applier contact hiring managers?

After an application is submitted, Applier finds people on the hiring team and writes each a short introduction from your own Gmail, so replies come straight to you: 1 contact per application on Starter, 2 on Pro and 3 on Max, and 1 during the free trial. Follow-ups are scheduled 3 and 7 business days later.

Do I approve everything Applier sends?

Only if you want to. Applications and introductions each have their own mode. In Review, you approve each job before Applier applies and each introduction before it's sent. Hybrid handles strong matches on its own, and Auto handles every match. When you start the free trial, you pick Hybrid or Review for applications; introductions start in Review.

Can I pause Applier?

Yes. You can pause job matching, applications or introductions separately at any time. Pausing stops future work; nothing already sent is undone.

Does my computer need to be on?

No. Applier runs on its own servers, so it applies while your computer is off.

Limits

What can't Applier do?

Some applications can't be finished; these show as Failed in your dashboard.

What happens when an application asks something I haven't answered?

Applier fills in answers you haven't given and lists them for you to check. You can confirm or correct each one, and Applier uses yours from then on.

Is there a limit on applications?

Each plan has a monthly allowance: up to 100 applications on Starter, 200 on Pro and 400 on Max. Applications stop when you reach it, until your next billing month or until you add a 50-application pack. The free trial sends up to 10 applications; further matches wait until you start a plan.

Gmail and your data

Do I need a Gmail account?

Only for introductions. Applier gives you an application mailbox for employer email, so Gmail is optional for applications.

What does Applier do in my Gmail?

Applier signs in to your connected Gmail with an app password, reads every email in it, stores replies to the introductions it sends, sends introductions for you, and labels or archives verification codes. It never deletes email. Delete the app password in your Google account to revoke access at any time. More about Gmail access.

How do I disconnect Gmail?

Disconnect Gmail in Settings: Applier deletes its stored app password and pauses introductions. Then remove the app password at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords.

What happens when I delete my account?

It's disabled, automation stops, and your data is scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period.

Free trial, refunds and cancellation

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New members can try Applier free for 7 days, with up to 10 applications and one hiring-manager email per application. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. The trial runs on Pro by default, and you choose the plan it continues as in Settings → Billing. When the trial ends, that plan starts on your card unless you cancel before then; press Start my plan now to start it early. There's one free trial per person: we check email, phone and LinkedIn. See plans and pricing.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, once per customer, for your first paid month. Under the interview guarantee, if at least 100 applications are sent within 30 days of your first sent application and you receive no interview invitation in that time, you get a full refund of that month. An interview invitation is an email inviting you to an interview or screening call in your application mailbox or connected Gmail; assessment invitations don't count. When you claim, you confirm you got no invitation any other way, such as by phone or LinkedIn. If your plan started without a free trial, you can also get a full refund by asking within 7 days of your first payment, with 25 or fewer applications sent. Read the refund policy.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, from Settings → Billing or by emailing [email protected]. Cancel during the free trial and you aren't charged; you keep trial access until it ends. After that, you keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for.

Compared with other tools

How is Applier different from other auto-apply tools?

Applier submits applications on employers' own sites rather than through job-board quick-apply buttons, tailors your resume and cover letter for each role, and emails the hiring manager from your Gmail. You choose how hands-off it is. See side-by-side comparisons.
