Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-26 Version 1.6 Governing Law: Australia

1. Introduction & Operator Details

Welcome to Applier. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Applier website, application, and related employment-support services (collectively, the "Service" or "Platform").

The Service is owned and operated by Applier, an Australian business ("Applier", "we", "us", or "our"). You can contact us at [email protected].

By creating an account, completing the onboarding questionnaire, connecting an email account, purchasing a subscription, or accessing or using the Service, you ("Customer", "you", or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Applier provides job-search and application-support services. Depending on the features you enable, the Service may:

  • Help identify employment opportunities relevant to your preferences;
  • Prepare and adapt resumes, cover letters, and other application materials;
  • Prepare and submit employment applications on your behalf;
  • Manage accounts needed for your applications;
  • Support employment-related correspondence; and
  • Provide an application mailbox and manage related messages.

3. Authority to Act & Grant of Agency

Crucial Authorization: By enrolling in Applier and enabling automated application or outreach features, you expressly appoint and authorize Applier to act as your authorized agent and representative for the purpose of submitting job applications and sending employment communications in your name.

Specifically, you grant Applier full authority and power of attorney to:

  1. Access employer websites and employment platforms on your behalf;
  2. Create and manage application accounts and candidate profiles in your name;
  3. Create, store, and use protected account credentials where needed for applications and status updates;
  4. Submit applications, documents, and responses using information you provide;
  5. Access email accounts you connect to send authorized employment correspondence and monitor replies; and
  6. Receive and process application-related messages, including verification requests and codes, through your application mailbox.

You acknowledge and agree that any action taken by Applier's automated systems within the scope of your configured campaign settings is legally deemed an action taken directly by you. You may pause or revoke this authorization at any time by pausing your campaign or disabling specific automation toggles in your account dashboard.

4. Customer Responsibilities & Declarations

You acknowledge, warrant, and agree that:

  • Accuracy of Information: You are solely responsible for the truthfulness, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all information, resumes, employment history, qualifications, work rights, and answers you provide to Applier. You must not supply false, exaggerated, fabricated, or misleading career claims or credentials;
  • Verification & Review: You retain responsibility for reviewing application materials and ensuring they accurately represent your qualifications and background;
  • Compliance with Job Site Terms: You are personally responsible for complying with the terms of use, codes of conduct, and submission requirements of any third-party job site, recruiter portal, or employer platform to which an application is submitted on your behalf;
  • Credential Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account and any connected accounts. You must promptly notify us at [email protected] of suspected unauthorized access; and
  • Work Eligibility: You must provide accurate and current work-eligibility information for your job search. Applier relies on the information you provide.

5. Disclaimers & Nature of Automated Employment Services

NO GUARANTEE OF INTERVIEWS OR JOBS: Applier provides job-search and application-support services. Applier DOES NOT guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of the Service will result in any job interviews, responses from employers, job offers, or successful employment. Hiring decisions are made entirely at the sole, independent discretion of prospective employers.

Automated Output: The Service uses automated processing, including artificial intelligence, to assist with documents, communications, and other features. Automated outputs may contain errors or omissions and require review. You remain responsible for ensuring application materials accurately represent you.

Third-Party Services: Employer websites, employment platforms, and other external services may change, restrict access, or become unavailable. We cannot guarantee that every application attempt will be accepted or processed by a third party.

6. Subscription Plans, Billing & Pricing

Applier offers recurring subscriptions for access to the Service. Current plan details are set out below:

Plan Name Price (USD) Billing Interval Monthly Application Allowance Key Features
Starter US$49.00 / month Monthly recurring Up to 100 applications / month Application services, document preparation, application mailbox, 1 hiring contact emailed per application, refund and interview guarantee
Pro US$79.00 / month Monthly recurring Up to 200 applications / month Everything in Starter, 2 hiring contacts emailed per application, higher priority in the queue
Max US$189.00 / month Monthly recurring Up to 400 applications / month Everything in Pro, 3 hiring contacts emailed per application, highest priority in the queue
Application pack US$29.00 One-time 50 additional applications Used after your monthly allowance

Recurring Billing: Subscriptions are billed automatically in advance on a monthly recurring basis to your designated payment method through a third-party payment processor. Your subscription will renew automatically at the start of each billing period unless cancelled prior to renewal.

Free Trial: New members can try Applier free for 7 days, with up to 10 applications and one hiring-manager email per application. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. The trial runs on Pro by default, and you can change the plan it continues as in Settings → Billing while it runs. When the trial ends, that plan starts automatically and your card is charged its monthly price, unless you cancel in Settings → Billing before then. You can also press “Start my plan now” to start the plan the trial is set to and pay today. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged and the plan does not start. One free trial per person: we check the email address, phone number and LinkedIn profile. If we refuse a trial, we cancel it before any charge.

Taxes & Currency: All plan prices are set in United States Dollars (USD). At checkout, our payment processor may show and charge the price in your local currency at its exchange rate; the plan price itself is USD. You are responsible for any applicable goods and services tax (GST), sales taxes, currency conversion fees, or bank charges assessed by your financial institution.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active and you will retain access to your plan entitlements through the conclusion of your current paid billing period. If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged and keep trial access until the trial ends.

7. Refund Policy & Interview Guarantee

Applier provides a 7-day refund and an interview guarantee on the first month of your first paid subscription (the 7-day refund applies only if your subscription did not start with a free trial). (1) If you ask within 7 days of your first payment and 25 or fewer applications have been sent, you are entitled to a full refund of that month's fee. (2) If at least 100 applications are sent within 30 days of your first sent application and you receive no interview invitation in those 30 days, you are entitled to a full refund of the first month's fee. An interview invitation is an email inviting you to an interview or screening call for a role Applier applied to on your behalf, received in your application mailbox or, if you connected it, your Gmail, that Applier identifies as an interview invitation; assessment invitations, recruiter replies that do not invite you to an interview, and acknowledgements are not interview invitations. When you request a guarantee refund, you confirm that you received no interview invitation for those roles in any other way (for example by phone, text message, LinkedIn or another email address), and Applier may refuse the refund if that confirmation is untrue. Applier may decline a guarantee refund where your account was paused, applications were held or declined by you, your information was inaccurate, or the request is not made in good faith. Each customer is eligible for one refund under this section, for the first month only.

To claim, email our support team at [email protected] from your registered account email: for the 7-day refund within 7 days of your first payment, and for the interview guarantee after the 30-day window ends and within 14 days after it ends. All refund requests are handled manually, and we will issue a full refund of the first month and cancel the subscription.

For complete terms regarding refunds, cancellations, and statutory consumer rights, please review our separate Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree that you will not use the Service to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, or unlawful material to any employer or recruitment platform;
  • Impersonate any other individual or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation, educational background, or legal right to work;
  • Attempt to compromise, disrupt, probe, scan, or overload the Service or any third-party ATS infrastructure;
  • Bypass or attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, subscription allowances, or bot detection systems through unlawful means;
  • Send mass unsolicited commercial spam, harassing communications, or content that infringes on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights; or
  • Create multiple accounts or reuse trial allowances to circumvent platform usage limits.

We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account without notice if we detect a breach of this Acceptable Use Policy.

9. Intellectual Property & License to Content

Your Content: You retain complete ownership of all intellectual property rights in and to the resumes, employment histories, portfolios, personal statements, and materials you upload or provide to the Service ("Customer Content").

License to Applier: You grant Applier a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, copy, format, adapt, parse, transmit, and display your Customer Content solely to the extent necessary to operate, improve, and provide the Service to you (including processing through third-party AI models and submitting application packages to prospective employers).

Applier Intellectual Property: Applier and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software code, algorithms, user interfaces, documentation, databases, trademarks, logos, and proprietary technology. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, or redistribute any portion of our software or service architecture.

10. Australian Consumer Law & Statutory Guarantees

Australian Consumer Law Notice: Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

Under the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL"), consumers are entitled to statutory guarantees, including that services will be rendered with due care and skill, will be reasonably fit for any specified purpose, and will be supplied within a reasonable time.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the ACL or any other applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject always to Section 10 (Australian Consumer Law):

  1. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement;
  2. In no event shall Applier, its owners, contractors, affiliates, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages whatsoever, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of employment opportunities, loss of data, loss of business reputation, or work stoppage, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages; and
  3. The total aggregate liability of Applier and its owners for all claims, disputes, or liabilities arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), equity, statute, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by you to Applier in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred Australian dollars (AUD $100.00), whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Applier, its owners, contractors, licensors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising out of or related to:

  • Your breach of any provision of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy;
  • The falsity, inaccuracy, or misleading nature of any information, resume data, or qualifications provided by you;
  • Any claim that your Customer Content infringes, misappropriates, or violates the intellectual property, privacy, or legal rights of any third party;
  • Your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation, or any third-party recruitment platform terms; or
  • Any employment dispute, interview disagreement, or contractual relationship between you and any prospective employer.

13. Account Suspension & Termination

Termination by Customer: You may terminate these Terms at any time by cancelling your subscription and initiating account deletion through your dashboard or by notifying support. Following account deletion, your data will enter a 30-day grace period followed by permanent purging in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Termination by Applier: We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without prior notice, if: (a) you breach any material provision of these Terms; (b) required by law, regulatory directive, or third-party platform policy; (c) your subscription payments fail or are charged back; or (d) we elect to discontinue operating the Service or any substantial portion thereof.

Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms immediately cease, and you must cease all access to the Service. Sections 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16 shall survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and related disputes are governed by applicable laws in Australia, without giving effect to conflict-of-law principles.

The courts of competent jurisdiction in Australia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice (e.g., via email or an in-app banner notification).

Your continued access to or use of the Service after any such modifications take effect constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the amended terms, your sole remedy is to cancel your subscription and terminate your account.
