Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-26 Version 2.6 Guarantee: Free Trial or 7-Day Refund, and Interview Guarantee

1. Our Refund Policy and Interview Guarantee

Every Applier plan comes with two refund routes. Both are voluntary promises on top of your statutory rights, both apply to the first month of your first paid subscription only, and both are handled manually by our operator. If your first subscription started with a free trial, the trial takes the place of the 7-day refund; the interview guarantee still applies to your first paid month.

1. 7-day refund (subscriptions that did not start with a free trial). If you ask within 7 days of your first payment and Applier has sent 25 applications or fewer in that time, you are entitled to a full refund of your first month's subscription fee.

Free trial. New members can try Applier free for 7 days, with up to 10 applications and one hiring-manager email per application. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. The trial runs on Pro by default, and you can change the plan it continues as in Settings → Billing while it runs. When the trial ends, that plan starts automatically and your card is charged its monthly price, unless you cancel in Settings → Billing before then. You can also press “Start my plan now” to start the plan the trial is set to and pay today. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged and the plan does not start. One free trial per person: we check the email address, phone number and LinkedIn profile. If we refuse a trial, we cancel it before any charge.

2. Interview guarantee. If Applier sends at least 100 applications within 30 days of your first sent application, no interview invitation email arrives in your application mailbox or connected Gmail within those 30 days, and you received no interview invitation any other way, you are entitled to a full refund of your first month's subscription fee.

What counts

  • Sent application: an application that Applier submitted to the employer on your behalf and recorded as submitted in your dashboard. Applications that failed or were blocked do not count as sent.
  • Interview invitation: an email inviting you to an interview or screening call for a role Applier applied to on your behalf, received in your application mailbox or, if you connected it, your Gmail, that Applier identifies as an interview invitation. Assessment and test invitations, recruiter replies that don't invite you to an interview, and acknowledgements don't count.
  • Your confirmation: when you request a guarantee refund, you confirm that you received no interview invitation for a role Applier applied to in any other way, such as by phone, text message, LinkedIn or another email address. Applier may refuse the refund if that confirmation is untrue.
  • 30-day window: starts when your first application is sent (not when you pay) and ends 30 days later.
  • One guarantee refund per customer: each customer may receive one refund under this policy, for the first month only. Later months, renewals and re-subscriptions are not covered by it.
  • Eligibility: Applier may decline a guarantee refund if your account was paused, applications were held or declined by you, your profile or resume contained inaccurate information, or the request is otherwise not made in good faith.

2. Requesting a Refund

Our support team handles refund requests as follows:

  1. Send an Email Request: For the 7-day refund, email us within 7 days of your first payment. For the interview guarantee, email us after your 30-day window ends and no later than 14 days after it ends. Send it from your registered Applier account email address to [email protected] with the subject line Refund Request.
  2. Include Basic Details: Mention your account email address and which route you are claiming. For the interview guarantee, your request is your confirmation that you received no interview invitation any other way (see What counts). You are not required to give a reason, though feedback is welcome.
  3. Processing Your Request: We check your application count and inbox in our records, then process a full refund of your first month and cancel your recurring subscription to prevent future billing.
  4. Settlement & Timing: Refunds are returned to your original payment method. Financial institutions typically credit the funds within 5 to 10 business days.

3. Subscription Plans & Pricing

This Refund Policy applies to all active Applier subscription plans:

4. Cancellations and Later Billing Periods

Outside the two refund routes above:

  • Cancel Anytime: You may cancel your recurring subscription at any time directly through your account dashboard under Account → Billing, or by emailing [email protected], including during a free trial, in which case you are not charged;
  • Access Through Billing Period: When you cancel, automatic renewal will cease immediately, and you will continue to have full access to your plan features and remaining application allowance until the end of your current paid monthly billing cycle; and
  • Partial Months: Except as required by the Australian Consumer Law, subscription fees for billing periods after the first month are generally non-refundable for partial months, unused applications, or early cancellation.

5. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Non-Excludable Guarantees

Statutory Consumer Rights Notice: Under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), our services come with statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by contract.

In addition to our voluntary 7-day refund and interview guarantee, you have statutory consumer rights under Australian law:

  • Major Failures: If there is a major failure with our service (for example, if the service cannot be delivered at all, is substantially unfit for its intended purpose and cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, or creates an unsafe situation), you are legally entitled to:
    1. Cancel your service contract with us; and
    2. Obtain a refund for the unused portion of the service, or compensation for its reduced value.
  • Minor Failures: If a problem with the service does not amount to a major failure, we are entitled to rectify the issue within a reasonable time. If we fail to do so, you are entitled to have the problem fixed elsewhere and recover reasonable costs, or cancel the contract and receive a refund for any unused portion.

Nothing in this Refund Policy or our Terms of Service excludes, restricts, or limits your non-excludable statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We encourage you to contact our support team at [email protected] before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or credit card provider. Our refunds are handled manually, quickly and in good faith, and emailing us directly is significantly quicker than bank dispute processes (which typically take 60 to 90 days to resolve).
