The best AI auto-apply tools in 2026
Applier is our product, so we've listed it first and stuck to what each company says on its own website. Here's what each tool actually does, and who it suits.
How we compared them
We checked each tool's website for seven things that decide how hands-off it is and how your applications reach employers:
- Submits applications for you
- Applies while your computer is off
- Tailors your resume to each job
- Writes a cover letter for each job
- Emails the hiring manager for you
- Lets you approve each application first
- Handles employer verification emails
We left out prices, which change often; check each tool's site.

1. Applier: best for hands-off applying on employer sites, plus emails to the hiring manager
Applier is an AI job application service. It finds open roles that match your profile, tailors your resume and cover letter to each one, submits the application on the employer's site, then emails the hiring manager from your Gmail.
New members can try Applier free for 7 days, and the first paid month is backed by an interview guarantee.
- Applier applies on the employer's own application form, whatever system the company uses: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever or its own careers page. It isn't tied to a list of supported systems.
- It never signs in to your LinkedIn, Indeed or other job-board accounts. Applications go to the employer directly, not through the board.
- There's no browser extension to install. Applier runs on its own servers and never needs access to your browser, so it keeps applying while your computer is off.
What still needs you: Applier fills in answers you haven't given and lists them for you to check. Some applications can't be finished; these show as Failed in your dashboard. How Applier works.
Also included:
- An interview pack for any submitted application: likely questions with answers drawn from your resume, the screening answers you gave, and questions to ask them.
- An Inbox for employer email, labelled as confirmations, interview invites, assessments and rejections, where you can reply in the same thread.
- Answers to check: each answer Applier had to supply is listed for you to confirm or correct, and Applier uses your answer from then on.
- A daily email when something needs you, and a Monday summary of applications, replies and interviews.
