Applier vs AIApply

By the Applier team · Updated October 15, 2026 · Applier is our product

AIApply is an AI job search toolkit that builds resumes and cover letters, finds matching roles and, through its Auto Apply feature, submits applications for you. Its site also lists interview practice and live interview coaching tools.

The short answer

  • Choose Applier if you want your applications sent on employers' own sites and the hiring team emailed from your Gmail, with follow-ups scheduled for you.
  • Choose AIApply if interview practice and live interview coaching matter as much to you as applying.

Why pick Applier over AIApply

  • Applier emails the hiring team for you: 1, 2 or 3 people per application from your own Gmail, depending on plan, then follows up 3 and 7 business days later. AIApply's website doesn't say it emails recruiters or hiring managers.
  • Your applications go in on the employer's own application form or applicant tracking system, not a job board's apply button. AIApply's website says it applies "across supported platforms" without naming them.
  • Employer verification emails go to an application mailbox Applier gives you, so applications don't wait on you. AIApply's website doesn't say how it handles verification emails.
  • You decide how hands-off it is: approve every application in Review mode, let strong matches go automatically in Hybrid, or switch to Auto. You pick Hybrid or Review when you start the free trial.

It applies on the employer's own site, whatever it uses

  • Applier applies on the employer's own application form, whatever system the company uses: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever or its own careers page. It isn't tied to a list of supported systems.
  • It never signs in to your LinkedIn, Indeed or other job-board accounts. Applications go to the employer directly, not through the board.
  • There's no browser extension to install. Applier runs on its own servers and never needs access to your browser, so it keeps applying while your computer is off.

When AIApply may suit you better

  • AIApply includes interview practice: an AI mock interview and a live interview coaching tool called Interview Buddy.
  • It bundles an AI resume builder, an ATS resume scanner, a resume translator and a job board.
  • You can set which roles, locations and companies to target or avoid, and its dashboard shows which resume version went to each job.

How AIApply works

According to its website, you upload a resume or import your LinkedIn profile, then set the roles, locations and companies you want to target or avoid. Auto Apply scans job listings and matches them to your profile. For each match it generates a tailored resume and cover letter, optimized for ATS screening, and submits the application on your behalf. Its FAQ says you can review drafts before they're sent. It describes Auto Apply as running in the background, so it keeps applying when you log off. A dashboard shows what has been submitted and which resume version was used. Its FAQ says each Auto Apply credit is one job application.

How Applier works

Applier is an AI job application service. It finds open roles that match your profile, tailors your resume and cover letter to each one, submits the application on the employer's site, then emails the hiring manager from your Gmail. See how Applier works, including what still needs you.

New members can try Applier free for 7 days, and the first paid month is backed by an interview guarantee.

It also gives you an interview pack for each submitted application, an Inbox that labels employer email, Answers to check, and a daily email when something needs you. See every Applier feature.

What still needs you

  • Applier fills in answers you haven't given and lists them under Answers to check, so you can confirm or correct each one.
  • In Review mode, you approve each job before Applier applies. In Hybrid and Auto, Applier applies on its own.
  • Some applications can't be finished; these show as Failed in your dashboard.
